Rocky Mountains Part 1

Lake Louise:

The garden of the Post Hotel is seen on the picture below. Nice weather allowed for an open air cocktail reception. The Hotel was a perfect mix of loghouse style and full fletched comfort. My favorite feature was the real open fire place in the room.

The following picture looks like standing in front of a photographic wallpaper, but its real. This nice spot of wilderness view was right in the hotel garden.

The next day we had been on a heli-hiking tour. The group get splitted into two subgroups, and where flown up to the Rockies, for hiking. The photo shows the take off of a helicopter concerning to the first group. Being in the second group, a good opportunity to take pictures of the scene.

This picture has the touch, we in front of our own helicopter. The nice photo was taken by our tour guide Sean, whilst the pilots took a break. We left this spot, and hiked to another ridge, to get later picked up again.

Our pick up service arrives, to bring us to the party on the ranch.

The first team depart, where the rest is waiting for further helicopters. On our flight back, we had the luck to see a black bear in the mountain forest. It was a good look from the aircraft, but I spared it to take a picture. I was afraid to have of these, showing a small black dot in a sea of green, telling people this was the bear.
